New to the forum and new to the M1A. Traded in a bunch of my WWI and WWII military rifles I've had for close to 20 years on a Springfield Armory Standard and a Browning Model 1886 in 45-70 made in 1986 by Miroku. The gun shop owner I got them from bought the M1A with the black synthetic stock and then changed it out for a walnut stock. Like the wood better and also like it with the black handguard. Look forward to learning from your experience.

Welcome on board Dogbone13, pull up an old ammunition crate and sit awhile. This here Gun Board is a great place for information on our beloved M14 Battlerifle and military surplus ammunition for feeding her. Again welcome on board and have yourself a great week ahead .
