New Sage Desert Digital EBR and finish question

I recently came into a still new in the box (dated 2012) Sage EBR in desert digital. Iím told only 100 were made in this color scheme and thatís itís actually anodizing. Does anyone know how this may have been done? Itís very interesting and I love the look of it.

I think that's what they call a dip finish? It can look very nice! Very cool look on that chassis.

Wow very nice. The AOR1 look defiantly beats my basic black MK 14. It does look like it has been dipped and they did a great job.

Beautiful--beats the tan paint job on mine. With my chassis showing some scrapes I'm tempted to get it repainted. Someone on the local gun site in Utah also has the same Desert Digital chassis, that is cool that it is anodized.

Make me wonder if the current Multicam is annodized as well.

My guess is that the multicam is actually dipped like guns that are hydro-dipped in official multicam brand colors. I spoke with US Tactical Supply recently because it looked like everything was in stock. It's misleading. They said nothing is in stock, but you can place an order. When they get a run of anything in stock, then they charge and ship. But there is no ETA.
