They are common. Occasionally you can snag one as low as $500.00 or less. Bells and Whistles cost more.

The lowest price I have seen on a new one was $300, on Ebay. Most new ones are $5-600. Adjustable comb models considerably more. Proper bedding will cost an additional $150-200.

Keep in mind that a used one will have been bedded to a different rifle. The compound will need to be removed and the stock rebedded to your receiver.

I bought my first used Mac M1A stock at the SAR show in Phoenix for $75 and it was black pebble grain in 1996? The second Mac M1A stock is in USMC camo that I scored in the PX a few years back from another forum member and it was $450 dollars well spent.

There out there new and used you have too hunt around and when they turn up you have too have your money in hand. BTW McMillan has or had a sale going on that I think was 30% off.

I picked up an older Mac stock for $325 with all the stock metal and handguard from a Marine at 29 Palms. It had been fitted with a dual lug receiver at one time. When I got it it had some soft nasty looking bedding that was for a non-lug receiver.
We cleaned it up and put a rear-lugged receiver in it, so this probably 30+ year McMillan stock lives on, and has shot the M14 match at Camp Perry a couple of time.

The dark camo one on the left.

They hold their value pretty well even used, and it can take 6 months to get one if it's new.

I sold my M3A stock to a friend, it was a take off and he offered me full price so he didn't have to wait but I wouldn't take that much being used, but still sold at a decent price.
