This is a new from wrap SA. trigger housing opened by yours truly.
You should be able to see the spring I am talking about. This isn't the only way, just one way. The lack of milling marks is a great indicator of a reparked part. Again, you may know other ways to identify reparks.

Oh, and yes there are guys out there that can do it right, making this much more difficult. The good news is most won't got to the trouble, much more time consuming.

If yours is parked, your trigger housing has been reparkerized.

Thanks for sharing this information Ren. I never thought about looking at this feature when examining parts. Although not fool proof it will give a good idea on whether a part was refinished especially if it was done by someone that was not too savvy or knowledgeable about the small part finishes.

Thanks from XM25Ren

This thread was started to help folks who may not know how to tell between an original and a reparkerized part.

Please read careful because some have taken this way off track!

THIS DOES NOT MEAN A REPARKERIZED PART IS A BAD PART! ITS JUST NOT ORIGINAL!

This maybe off the subject a little, but know the people your buying from if possible. I've bought from Ren, KurtC and Forceman from this site and got excellent parts from them.
Now I need a nice H&R op rod for the grandson's all H&R M14 replica. Hopefully one will come up for sale in the PX soon.

There is a nice H&R op-rod on GunBroker, it appears to be in excellent condition with original finish.
