Question M14 Gas port

Has anyone done any tests for velocity and point of impact with gas port closed

That would depend on how far the 'point of impact' is from the muzzle.

I'm sure there has been a lot of tests done, but there is not going to be any significant difference. While some gas is bled off the barrel into the gas cylinder, there is no real loss of pressure in the system until the bullet has exited the barrel. It's possible that a POI change may occur, but it most likely going to be caused by the differences in recoil pulses that only happen during the bullets last eight inches of travel in the barrel.

Thanks ,I shoot in the woods most all the time , I like to shut off gas port so I don't have to look for my brass, thanks agin
