Congrats! I was also bidding, but stopped when I started thinking about how mad my wife would get if I kept going.

Thanks from tarnel

Hello, Wow.
Really? $707 for a wood stock... Alright.
I'm sorry; I just don't see it, though. But, it is your money.
What else do you want????

I have paid much more for M14 stocks, and when a person sees an object of affection who stops to count money?

Tarnel I thought you did well, and after all you have it, it’s your!

Ren

By all appearances, it is very well preserved example of a factory 1st generation USGI National Match stock, circa 1962-3. See pic on the left.

The bedding is minimal, to allow normal disassembly for cleaning.

With the other NM features of the period, such a rifle was guaranteed to hold 3 inches at 100m. 10 shots, from a rest, using M118 ammunition.

My photos (on the right) indicate that for 1964, an additional line of bedding was added, at the heel.

The final cost of this stock is the same amount Treeline quoted me a year ago, just this stock is more pristine. I just need one NM stock for future build but sometimes you need to pay more to get what you want.

Been looking for one McMillan smear stock and found one for $2500+ but the seller backed out. But if you get lucky, really lucky! you will find what you're looking for in pairs for the price of one.

No Sir, I don't.

But if someone can give me Lynn @ McMillan contact information, I can find out. I had her e-mail and phone number on my file at one time but unfortunately I lost it.

If you are referring to the forest camo McMillan smear stock pictured, around 1985-88 if not very close.

REN
