MY FAVE M14

WINCHESTER M14

I have been blessed with some very special M14 rifles, and certainly a few more expensive, but my nearly all Winchester is certainly my favorite. It was the first to get built using new parts straight from the wrapper or tube.

Winchester Continued

Some of the other parts pictured:

I used Lufkin windage knob and pinion because they are rare to find and look pretty cool!

The Winchester Gas Cylinder is an early lip-less cylinder it has been highlighted so as to see the Winchester Forged in stamp.

Trigger Guard is a KMTco.

Op-Rod Spring New H&R Spring

The Cotton Sling is USGI Dated 1964

Winchester Stock purchased from Fred's

KMTco. K8 safety

Barrel, Op-Rod, Bolt, Hammer, Rear Sight Base(B3) are all marked with 66118 or Winchester except the rear sight, its stamped OM B3.

I think I covered about everything.
There is one part pictured that is not a Winchester M14 part, it is pictured see if you can find it.

Thats it. My Winchester M14

Ren,

Wonderful rifle. I'm doing the same thing with a Springfield this year. Have all the parts just need to get the crew together for a group build. Should be a great time. TonyBen is doing the build. I'm jazzed to say the least...

WINCHESTER CONTINUED

Heres another part over looked by most, yet it is found in all original M14 rifles.

If you look close you will see that the pin holding the connector lock in place is an original solid USGI pin. Another small detail, but a well done build is all about the details!

Wow what a beautiful rifle. That’s museum quality and you should be proud of maintaining this small but important piece of US history.

Well done Sir!

Wes, thanks appreciated! I think you picked the right guy for the job, I am sure Tony will build you a very fine M14 clone. I have heard many great things about him, particular his attention to detail, which is what these are all about.

Thanks again for the kind words, I know it’s a road less travel but worth ii.
