If you want to make sure the parts are good, you should make sure they fit each other (the spares) and as such, are actually functional. At that point, though, once the bolt is fit to the receiver and barrel... you wouldn't want to separate best buds...

Plus, it's faster to grab a spare rifle than repair a rifle with a spare part.

Don't knock it. All I need to do is justify a stock, barrel, and go shopping for a receiver.
Stocking up on spares is a method, not necessarily a madness.

If you have less than 100 rifles divide by 100 and multiply by the number you have, round to nearest whole number. Numbers less than 0.5 would be zero. So unless you have more than 10 rifles, you really don't need to stock any spares.
