Rear Sight Aperture Question
I've currently got the std rear sight on my M1A and NM front sight. I'd like to buy an NM aperture and see that they come in .595 and .520. What size is the std aperture size for comparison? Also, where are some good sources BESIDES Ebay for just the apertures. Thanks!

Me, I always prefered the .595 aperture coz I'm blind in one eye and can't see outa the other one. ;)

Thanks guys for the input. I think I may go with the .0595? I see these listed everywhere as .595, surely it's actually .0595? My eyes are almost 35 now and I may hunt a bit with this rifle, occasionally in somewhat dim conditions so the larger NM aperture may be my best bet. Thanks again.

The NM aperature is excellent in full daylight. It's not very good the rest of the time. For hunting, I'd use the standard GI aperature.
You can file down the tail end so that you have the same elevation zero when you switch between the two (windage will most likely be the same also).

I'm no expert but I know for me , the bigger the hole , the faster I can git on . I have drilled mine out cause I hunt in the thick mostly. Center is center , no matter what size the hole
