Do I have one of these forearms on my Marlin 336C in .32 Win hand-me-down from my dad? Nope. Never have and don't reckon I ever will either.

I think I will keep a picture of this. It works better then a finger down the throat to induce the desired results.

I sold a very nice vintage 336 to a friend of mine, he wanted to turn it into a tactical lever-gun, so I mounted a XS Sight optic rail on it... it dovetailed into the rear barrel cut, and then mounted into the front receiver taps... it worked out very well without looking completely off-the-wall. Sort of like a Socom16 rail, but on a 336. He loves it, and it's all good.

Remember, not everyone lives in the same country we live in, some are behind enemy lines in the Peoples Republik of California, or New Yorkistan where it's easier to modify a lever-action to produce an urban-capable rifle or carbine with a reasonable magazine capacity, while still paying lip service to the local laws.

I do love my Marlin 336C in 35 rem BUT I realize that after 7 rounds I have to RUN! They take forever to reload.

I put a 2x7 Leopold on my 444 , carry on 2 power , it's about as quick as it gets for me. Just a regular weaver mount, old school

I showed this pix to my 1895 .45-70 last night. This morning I couldn't find it!!! It was later found hiding behind the M1s and M14s!!! Charlie 98, I live in Kommiefornia, we have a 10rd mag limit. The '95 .45-70 is 3 in the mag., one in the stovepipe, so the idea of this being tactical is more like tac-ti-COOL!!! -Lloyd

I was thinking more of a .41 or .44 1894... 10 rounds on tap.

It is probably geared more towards the Guide Gun crowd, but I think we are going to start to see more and more perversions of the lever-action.

I'm waiting for the 30-round magazine extension...

Thanks from unkola

stoky - Zoe used a Mare's Leg that made "pew, pew" noise. Had I known about the single shot exemption a while back in California I would've tracked down a Ranch Hand. I think Henry had one but they got that silly tube loader.

sbird - I don't think that's California compliant. The barrel looks awful short. maybe that big scope is throwing the proportion off?

unkola - Yeah no self respecting Marlin (unless a RemLin) would allow such an assault. I reckon the early run RemLin the rail would've been an improvement in gap and fitment issue.

Also if you're gonna go with that rail you really need to get the AR adjustable stock and adapter. I wonder how many spare rounds you can attach to the slots?
