The light infantry soldier with a good rifle will always be the ultimate weapon.
Ships are confined to water, . . . planes can't fly sometimes, . . . tanks are as often as not just rolling coffins, . . . but the 11B guy can go anywhere, . . . and has proven over time, . . . he can do anything.
Give him an M14, . . . who knows who or what he'll bring back, . . . or bury on the battlefield.
