| Painted ALICE frame is new to me

I can understand a preference for the painted but I think the anodized etching lasts a little longer than the paint.
This painted one has a stamped 1 1/4 inch round hole for the shoulder strap loops at the bottom of the frame without a hard plastic protector grommet. The metal is press formed with a rounded lip to keep from cutting the shoulder strap when attached. The anodized frames look like the holes on each side were punched out and the hard plastic grommet inserted to protect the shoulder straps from the resulting stamped sharp edge.
