Very nice. I like the 4th Marine display. Did you make the helmet stands?

Nice looking collection Leatherwringer, thank you for sharing with pictures. The flack jacket brings back many memories of the past when I worn one with a bonnie hat.

acquired it from a good fellow forum member on the USMF (usmilitariafourm.com) a great place to see some awesome uniforms, medals and learn about the men and women behind them!
I like obtaining "groupings".....uniforms and items named to a person! so much history....I am only the current "caretaker" of these great items!!

A thing of beauty something to be proud of! Very nice. Inspires me to finish cleaning up the shop and doing something similar. I see my helmut rolling around my closet floor and it bothers me. The wife wants no part of my stuff on display. She is young and from another country and simply does not understand. Nobody in her family was ever in the polish military. You would think she would appretiate our military history more considering she grew up behind the iron curtain.
Thanks for sharing.

We were required to have flak jackets with us while on duty at the Nike-Herc site back in the 70's. Mine did not have that God-aweful collar (that's why I scarfed it up). Only a handful in our unit were like that. Would it have been an earlier model? Just curious... Mike

Thanks! Went to the site and there it was right on top. It's an M1952A. It's got some age then. When I had to wear it, it was soooo much more comfortable than the one with the collar. Mike
