RIP Mack

Although there isn't a story out yet on it, former Navy Seal Richard Machowicz lost his battle against cancer today. The name may not be readily familiar, but many of you may know him as the host of the Discover Channel show "FutureWeapons." The only news of of his death I've seen so far is from former Navy Seal Craig Sawyer, who paid tribute to him on Instagram.

Really sad to hear this. I really enjoyed his show especially when they covered the Joint Strike Fighter because I knew the exact stretch of road he was driving down since I grew up not two miles from it.

Rest well Mack.

Thanks from pigpen, nf1e, conditionone and 10 others

Haven't found anything saying what type of cancer it was.

I guess that explains why he's not been in shows lately. I liked him as a host and I'm sure we'd have seen much more of him had he not been engaged in that battle.

Godspeed and the best to his family.

Rest in peace Mack.
Sad to hear this news. I did enjoy his reviews on various weapon systems.
