| This is DISGRACEFUL!!
For a tv show filming at a National Cemetery to tell a group of WWII vets, 23 of whom survived the attack, to be quiet and leave so they could film at the cemetery during Pearl Harbor Week is unacceptable. The idiot director that thinks walking on headstones is acceptable behavior needs to fired along with the moron at the VA who approved filming during Pearl Harbor Week.

I am. A member of my congressman"s staff is supposed to be in town this morning. I've printed out a copy of the tv station's story and taking it to her.

Like the dumping of the cremated or partially cremated remains of at least 274 of our military from Iraq and Afghanistan into a landfill, there is obviously an institutionalized lack of respect for our veterans, both living and deceased. |

It is not acceptable or respectful in my opinion to even rent out a National Cemetery. It is hallowed ground not a local bingo parlor.

If you want results you should send a barrage of angry emails to CBS and every company that advertises during Hawaii-Five O in addition to angry letters to your congressmen.

My congressman has a staffer at the local library this morning. I've printed out a copy of the tv station's story and giving it to her along with voicing my displeasure about it. I WILL follow it up with a letter to his office in dc. I have to concentrate on school today and tomorrow. Final for the first semester of nursing school is tomorrow morning but afterwards I will be firing off emails to CBS, the production company and the advertisers complete with links to the story.

Maybe placing non-veterans in high positions isn't such a good idea. |

That makes me very angry. Scumbags. It's OK for you people to walk on headstones, huh? I feel a little better when I imagine smashing one of those pukes faces into a head stone until they slip away, and the headstone becomes smoothly polished. How about you film that mother----er.

That just pissed me off. Hollywood doesn't have a clue and they clearly don't give a rat's ass about veterans unless they can make money off of them.

It happens in Canada too- last June I was visiting our big National War Memorial, which site now includes the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and was asked to vacate the general area because a local TV group were filming some sort of a skit there, on the weekend and right at the site of the Tomb- AND to add insult to injury, they weren't even actively filming with their little Hi-8 camera at the time, just lolling around trying to look impressive, like they had star quality (everything else aside, they needed a bigger camera and perhaps a separate microphone for that). I tried complaining and was assured that the ratbags had a permit issued by the proper authorities, which in Canada's capital seems to answer any mere concern the public puts forward.

Let the heated letters to CBS and concerned letters to our Congressmen begin.

I posted my disgust on their Facebook page, and so far everyone seems to agree with me. I'm sure that my post will be deleted as soon as whoever maintains it sees what I wrote, but perhaps we can keep the ball rolling.
