Monday May 30th: Memorial Day

Hardly needs mention here of all places, but I for one have been relentlessly hounding my less thoughtful neighbors, friends and families to try to put aside a moment or five tomorrow from their busy schedules to remember the guys and women who have actually laid down something more important than their remotes, to sustain and protect the right and freedoms we all take for granted.

Many of them seem think this is just a day to get a great deal on a car, TV, five pound bag of ground beef, or discount on pump gas for the drag boat...

I'll be getting down to our local memorial cemetery at 9:00a to join with those growing minority few who do value and understand the important concept of Memorial Day. I know you guys do, and... thanks for that! See you there tomorrow.

Thanks from GARRARD
