I doubt she could do much worse than her immediate predecessors. I would not be too quick to poo poo this if it happened, she might to fine. She at least knows something of running a budget having been a state gov.

Alaska budget is 8.6 billion. The VA budget is 181 billion. I don't think Palin is 21 times better at anything now, compared to then(when she didn't even finish her job).

Palin actually did some very good things in Alaska. McCain's failed prez run makes her an albatross though.

Sounds to me like some folks have bought into the lamestream media perpetrated notion that Palin is a dummy. Aint so. The amount of money involved is irrelevant, its how that money is handled.

Gentlemen,
Those of you against Gov. Palin as 'possible' pick for VA Administrator,
. . . Please include your reasons for your seemingly reason-less assertions that she is ill-suited for the post.
I am truly amazed at your lack of clear-thinking, clear-writing, etc.
Go ahead, make your case!
I am neutral, so far. Convince me!
How about adding some REASONS behind your thought . . . don't simply be 'thought-lemmings' !
Semper Fi!

Ok...To start with---She would be the first VA Adminstrator who is a NON-Veteran. That cannot be a Plus. Do any Veterans here really believe that someone who has Not served in our Military truly understands what it means to be a Veteran?
Also, my personal biggest concern is...NON-Veterans have too often offered as a quick and facile solution to the V.A. Hospital systems' problems---that Veterans should instead be offered Vouchers for Medical Care OUTSIDE of the VA system. That would put Veterans in the same lines as every other Medicare/Medicaid Recipient!, and in no time would Congress start Cutting funds for VA facilities on the basis that now there is no more need for such!
That would be the death knell for the entire V.A. Medical-Hospital system, which for all it's problems---is the Only place that actually tailors many of it's medical services specifically for Veterans issues! And when the Veterans Administration is no more---then what?
