The DVD is available from Military Issue, a nifty & enjoyable little mail-order catalog of mil-stuff (models, books, and so on). Their toll-free# is 800 989 1945.
Now, I confidently say it's available; it WAS in their catalog a few issues back, but who knows for sure? I bought & watched it, but then promptly lost it, to my chagrin. I'm sure it's here somewhere; I really want to watch it again! Especially enjoyed the two alternate endings they actually created; how often did Hollywood do that in the '50s? But in V-one, the German naval soldiers clamber onto the hills to get our hero, and in V-two, as I recall, he gets rescued.
Lemme know if they still have that DVD. It really was an enjoyable flick!
