Dee, I'm going to change the scope reticle to a CMR2. There should be a increase in price for the reticle change. Sorry for the hassle. Have a safe trip back.

Hi Hugh . Almost ready to cut out and head for home. It's been a long day. I'll get your order ready to go out the door. I'll order the scope right away and it usually takes about 2-3 days to get in so I expect we'll be shipping by the end of next week. Talk to you Tuesday

Rich, I just commented in the forum in your thread. Many of our customer's use these rings but I've never gotten any feedback so I will be interested as well. We usually keep a couple sets in stock for the occasional customer who prefers them to the Leupold but they aren't very fast movers. Of course, that may be because we usually recommend Leupold (any model.) the reason for this recommendation is that many ring manufacturers rely on the top of the rail as their main surface contact whereas Leupold has full contact with the falits on the vee. The greater the surface contact (mount or rings) the more stable system you will have. As I recall, the Burris have less surface contact but that doesn't mean they aren't a good ring. Many people use them so they do have a track record or customers wouldn't keep buying them.

That's about the best answer I can give you so I'm looking forward to hearing from the members who actually use them

    Hello RightHand:

I just posed this queston on the M14 forum, and wondered if you could take the time to personally answer it for me.

"After reading all the positive posts on the Sadlak mount for the M1a, I ended up purchasing a Sadlak “Airborne” mount. It should be here next week.

Now comes the question of the right rings for this mount. Originally, had I planned on buying a set of Burris Signature “Zee” rings, but after spending a significant amount of time searching out threads here, I’ve come to the conclusion that Weaver style rings are not the way to go with a Picatinny rail system.

I know Leupold Mk-4 rings are recommended, but wonder if the “Burris XTR Xtreme Tactical“ rings wouldn’t work just as well (and at a considerably lower price point!).

Is there really that much difference (half again as much cost for the Leupold), or will the Burris be just as stable when mounted to the Sadlak?

    Thank you,

    Rich"

    Respects,

    Rich

I've been busy too Bill. Tax season is always a bear for me. I've been working 7 day weeks since the beginning of February and I'm getting pretty tired. These old bones need more rest then they did when I was 30. Hope all is good with you and I look forward to talking to you soon
