I will take your trade for the Trw bolt, please let me know the requirements and diametions on the op rod as I have several and must measure them all. I would assume the gas cylinder will be used and with plug, piston & lock? Rear sight complete with cover and aperture ? Is Italian windage knob ok on the sight? Thank you Randell m1thumb@att.net

I have installed the Midwest Ind. forward rail system on my AK and LOVE it. Combined with a forward grip rapid fire rounds on target is easy.

The national day of resistance is a gun rights protest that is going on nationwide on 2-23 ours is at the state capitol Saturday from 11 to 1. its a protest of the current gun legislation that is in the process of being made into law. Im not really into that sort of thing but I think it would be a good thing if the turnout is big so im going. If you decide to you can call me on my cell 719-557-1725. Later bro,Dave

Im usually in Arvada a couple weekends a month and have seen all the p-dogs up north. too bad theyre surrounded by city where you cant shoot. Theyre the ultimate moving, self resetting, exploding and biodegradable targets. You can pretend theyre gun grabbing liberals but,I don't hate prairie dogs. Quite a few places to shoot here. 4 ranges and lots of places to shoot dogs and targets.
By the way I work at MHC Kenworth.Who you driving for?
Im going to that day of resistance deal at the capitol Saturday. You goin? let me know.maybe we can shoot the at this deal. It would be cool .

Hey Boomer, I have one that looks like it was cut in half by a drunk with a 4 inch grinder. I can almost gaurantee it it was an original M14 receiver. I will let it go for $200. I was going to put it together and make a non rifle for my grandson but can't afford the rest of the parts. I am not up to speed on sending pics but can send some via snail mail if you are really interested. It is a H&R. You can check my feedback on ebay scully504.

    Hi, Boomer,

Sorry about the late reply, I didn't see this conversation till now. Maybe you can refresh my memory on this, thread ID..?

In general, I think 1.632" is minimum, I like a tad longet just because I am not a match shooter, but I want reliability over anything else. Which is why the NATO chamber min is 1.6355". Bear in mind that all ammo is the same dimension, (NATO vs commercial) but note that NATO MAX dimwnsion for the case is 1.6319" (from 41.45mm). So it is POSSIBLE that you can gat a NATO case that actually is right at your chamber HS which is not good. ANY crud or other stuff in your chamber can then cause ejection issues and possibly affect reliability. So IMO, 1.634" is about right for both NATO and commercial.

Of course, Fulton Armory disagrees, but such is life. We all have our reasons for doing the things we do.

    :)
