I'll try to take pics with my cell of "before" and "after", and of my test target and email them to my computer to post. Deer season ends at the end of the month, and I don't want to mess with my rifle until then.

Right now (from my pre-season zero of my rifle with a new scope - Trijicon AccuPoint TR-22 2.5-10x56 mounted on an ARMS-18 mount), at 5 power, I am getting sub-1 inch 2 and 3 shot groups with a 2 inch rise at 100 yards (which is what the Hornady ammo I hunt with is supposed to do, i.e.: 2" rise at 100yds and dead on at 200). This is from a lead sled and an admittably not very sturdy folding table that has a metal frame covered by cloth material (my wife bought it for me - don't laugh, she meant well).

I may test the new stock with a sturdier wooden table or go to an actual range about 25 miles away (instead of just shooting on my land with my set-up) to test it after installation- using the same lead sled to help remove human error.

Here are some "before" pictures" of my rifle taken with my cellphone (sorry about the quality).

I am going to try to start the project within the next few weeks, and then clean the camo paint off of the M14E2 stock that is currently on my rifle. I painted it about 2 years ago, so it has made it through 2 deer seasons with only mild chipping from getting bumped around the woods, stands, blinds, shoothouse, and truck, and the paint probably would have adhered to the wood better had I "prepped" it first by removing all the oil, etc as I did several years back when I refinished an M1 stock.

Here is a link to the accuracy testing we just completed in Vegas. It was a very windy day, but the video speaks for itself. I truely believe it would make a great deer gun...

I can imagine that being on such a high pad perch did not help at all. Bipod prone my M1A std. will do .90" outside on a 25mph day shooting S with wind NNE and gusty. Good vid though.

I just saw this post - sorry.

No - I'll probably hold onto it for a little while once I swap to see how I like the new one and if the Archangel works for me, sell the E2 stock. The paint can be easily removed as I did not prime it before painting.
