As new walnut stocks from Treeline

UPS just dropped off a couple of as new walnut stocks.
What a nice packaging job by Treeline. You can tell when a shipper cares about their product.

Individually boxed and put in a plastic bag to boot.

Just as advertised. They were obviously on M-14s that were never issued. Not a scratch on the metal and only a couple of the smallest dings to steam out. Stamps are pristine. They smell like lemon for whatever that means. One happy camper. Ready for a couple of builds that are in progress.
I think I will leave the original finish on these animals.

The lemon smell is probably a cleaner
When Fred's had the stocks they were pretty goopy with 50 years of various protective coatings
That is some nice looking walnut

Thanks from nf1e

Stocks look great. One question for ya. Do these have the same feel as the USGI fiberglass stocks? Meaning on the thin side as opposed to the oversized stocks from Boyds? I like the feel of the fiberglass stock a lot more than the fatty ones.

Here's a $59 VG+ w/$30 fancy grain charge from Treeline. I stripped it with Purple Power.
