I placed an order for a Walnut stock for my M1A the first week of December.
I received an order confirmation with a note that they have a two week backlog.
It's going on 7 weeks now.

Awards Showcase

If you ordered directly from Boyd's, you may have to wait until they make a run of them. I imagine it takes longer during the Holidays. I have had to wait over a month. The oil on the stock was still wet when I unwrapped it.

Fulton Armory usually has them in stock, but I believe they are unfinished.

I would cancel the order and get one from Fulton Armory instead, or find a used one on armslist/this site etc.

Unfinished was not available from Boyds. I would prefer to finish it myself. Maybe I can cancel the order.
Thanks

Boyds is about 1 month out or better in deliveries. Retooling, new employees and mistakes and retraining. It took me about 2 months to get my Enfield .303 laminated stock and I still had to make some inletting adjustments. Hopefully the new crew is on board and trained. You can give their CS a gentle inquiry about your order.

I know you got yours already, but you can order a walnut Boyd's stock from SAI, it's a medium weight and generally already coated with BLO.

I did order a Boyd's GI contour (thin) from Fulton armory, fast ship and looked great, unfinished but I had to inlet and fit for my action.

Pics of my almost fitted Boyd's stock with Fulton stock liner

It is amazing how perfect the stock liner fit. Good old Fulton Armory. The Boyd's walnut stock is thicker than the Springfield synthetic.
I put the liner in and the screws with no trouble at all. I do need to allow for an air gap between the stock and the handrail. Tony's video taught me to leave some room there. The stock at the ferrule does have a bit of lift or pull-no gap there. The trigger group went in and snap it's ready to fire.
The operating rod works great with no contact. I think I just need to sand down the hand guard.
I will put a coat or two of tung oil give it a satin finish.

Looks, balance and feel is great. Fitment spacing is lacking around the wrist strap but I can live with it. I've since mounted the posted pics a Burris Droptine 3X9 scope on it.
