My FFL Just Called Me

I bought my 1st M1A, Springfield Loaded 22" with synthetic stock. I have a fun problem, I don't know which stock to put on it.
I love the look of walnut, the FDE Precision adjustable shown on Springfield's web site is really nice. I don't know what the heck I am going to do.
I may like the synthetic but I am too old fashioned. This is my 60th birthday present to myself. I deserve it.

Well if you can own just one you are a stronger man than I! I have three and one on the way, with two more not that far off.

When all is said and done I may have eight or nine.

2 E2s Walnut
2 rack grades walnut
3 NM two walnut and one birch
1 XM21 walnut
1 XM25 McMillan fiberglass

The precision stock on the Loaded model makes using a scope very comfortable and is amazingly accurate. As good as a National Match. However, I have only seen that on rifles which left the factory that way.

Folks who try to install the stock on existing rifles don't seem to make out as well.

If you are going to use irons, the factory walnut stock (currently Boyd's) is usually the most accurate.

I put a Walnut Boyd stock on my Garand and it fit perfect with just a bit of removal where the bolt strikes the rear of the stock.
Too bad about the precision although that would be two directions. A precision stock with scope and a walnut stock using iron sights.
Yep I better budget for one more real soon.
I'm in California so I have to wait ten days to cool off before I can pick it up.

I went to Wenig stocks. Interesting, as a side note they get their English Walnut from Northern California where I live.
This is pro America Country. I see the flat bed trucks heading South on Highway 99 all the time loaded with Walnut burl and big old growth English Walnut stock material. We won't run out the farmers are pulling out prunes and planting walnuts.
