No. $300 for the selected raw stock.

Last Run.....request

Wade,

I'd like as highly figured big-red walnut stock as you can find. Preferably with a DOD eagle, but that is not a priority. Wicked figuring over a cartouche.

If you can't find a walnut that fits this description then I would take a big-red birch stock with lots of flame / tiger stripe figuring.

My ideal is like post #21 in this thread:
Going back to Fred's, question...

Thanks for making one last run.

Whit

Ok Wade, If you think you can find me a really killer tiger striped/fiddleback Big Red in either birch or walnut then I'd be very grateful. Whichever you think looks best when you go picking. I've had a BR 90% birch on order from Fred's but have little confidence that I'll get it before he closes up shop.

Thanks from Doug Carlton

Wade, I'm in for one stock. I would like a big red, in heavily flamed or striped birch. As backup, a big red tiger striped walnut if you have difficulty finding a suitable birch. Thanks for the offer!

Thanks from Doug Carlton

Fiddleback is a desired pattern of maple/birch etc. found on old violins or "fiddles" from the 17th and 18th century.

This pattern is also very desirable for use in stocks for American flintlock long rifles from the 19th century and even for builders like myself in this time.

Circlehook - if you were not in bannedcamp you would see that I was able to find a fiddle-back walnut as well as a demonic dark birch for you.

Too bad you cannot enjoy it. The white on the walnut is tape. Everything I brought back is AS-NEW
