I am hoping that you guys can help me with a few questions that I have regarding some stocks.
1) I have a Big Red Stock marked W-W 11010263 in the butt plate area I have many of these but only one that is marked S A in the trigger recess area. I don't know what this would represent. Any ideas?

2) I also came accross a stock that has a double P on the pistol grip. It has one in a circle that is faded as well as one above it without the circle. Kind of interesting but not sure why it would be proofed twice?

3) I recently sold a stock to another gentleman and there is a repair on the sling swivel that I didn't catch on my last inspection. I am going to make right on it but I am curius about the repair. I noticed that I have about a dozen or so stocks with a similar repair and these stocks and I am wondering if this was a standard arsenal repair and if so why they did it this way? Where there are usually two rivets, these have a metal plate on the inside with rivets. It's almost like an attempt to make the sling swivel stronger. It has been more common on original winchester stocks based on what I have. Thoughts on this?
