I bought an Exc+ walnut stock from Fred's ($65). From time of order to delivery, was about 10-12 days. Fred is not real chatty on the phone, but that's OK; I got stuff to do too. I really appreciate what he does to restore the Art of the Rifle (as Jeff Coopper might say) to the American people.
When I got it, the stock was pretty grungy. First thing was to clean it multiple times with some general purpose cleaner. Next I hit it with some Minwax Antique Refinisher, multiple times, to strip off the old finish to the mostly bare wood. Finally, two coats of Minwax Tung Oil Finish, 24 hours apart; slather it on, wait 10 minutes and buff it out.
Wow! What a pretty stock that turned out to be. My daughter has my camera at the moment, else I would post a picture. I'm not related to Fred or Minwax, but they both did right by me.
Just ordered 3 stocks from Fred's (2 vg-excellent walnut, 1 excellent synthetic). Hoping to get a reasonably quick turn around like you did but I know it could take longer.
I don't mind the wait... but I am really hoping that what I get will be as nice as some of the wood I have seen on this site lately. Walnut and iron sights just looks right. If it works out I'll probably get a few more.

Minwax stuff certainly is great. I do wish however that they'd change the name of the "tung oil finish" so folks didn't confuse it with tung oil that is not shellack.
Ordered a USGI fiberglass from them about a week and a half ago and my CC was hit on Friday. It is one of the like new with a like new Butt plate assembly. Now I just sit and wait to see when I get it. My other USGI walnut I got from him took about 3 weeks tops. So, I guess my luck so far has been pretty good.
I ordered 4 "shooter" grade stocks (2 Fiberglass + 2 Walnut) and some accessories from Fred's 2 weeks ago, box arrived yesterday and I ended up with a couple of freebies in the box.
I've ordered 3 times from his website since April and always gotten the products I ordered in a reasonable amount of time...
my cc was hit the 12th of July and it came today. a gorgeous, new looking fiberglass stock with like new buttplate and they threw in what looks like an NOS handguard. couldn't be more pleased.
Got my "excellent condition" fiberglass stock w/ "as-new" buttplate yesterday along with a complimentary HG. It took a couple of months and one phone call but like the man sez: if you're in a hurry, go somewhere else.
I'm quite happy with the condition of the gear though and would probably buy from Fred's again.
