No complaints on Fred's from me. "Rolled the dice" on the 14th after all that I've read here, stock and handguard came exactly one week later on the 21st. Ordered a usgi walnut as new via the website and it was exactly as described, I'd order again, fwiw. Fred also sent me an extra brown handguard that looks very serviceable.

So...has anyone actually tried to contact Fred's by phone? I had a question for them but all of the numbers seem to either be disconnected or for some sort of telemarketing/cruise thing. Really odd.

I have had two orders go into complete ether with Fred's. No charge no nothing. NO MORE.
Numrich took two tries, but the second one was a winner.

I get stuff from Fred's all the time. No problems. Just call on Wednesdays and they are happy to take care of you . Usually receive standard orders in 3 to 4 weeks. I did receive a Super Fancy Walnut Tiger Striped stock last week that took a year and a half to get. Totally worth the wait. Patience is a virtue.

I'm amazed. 1st good things about Fred's I've heard in a long time. Maybe he found religion or got tired of the complaints.

Have ordered targets, books, repack kits, various accoutrements, and gunstocks from Fred's over the last ten-fifteen years with absolutely no issues. Gunstocks from Fred's, generally, are far superior to anything else on the web. Ordered three M1 Garand stocks from Fred's on the 12th of November. Haven't heard a thing yet, but no sweat, as certain CMP M1's won't be available for sale until after the first of the year, anyway. His real name isn't Fred by the way, as already noted. Have conversed with him numerous times face to face and shot rifles with him in the past. Great guy when you get to know him. He is focused, intelligent, the most dedicated person imaginable when it comes to the "cause" and one damn fine rifle shot. I, personally, am glad to hear consistently good things about the guy in this post.

I bought two last month.

Really odd. | I've gotten a hold of him recently at the phone number listed on the home page. Not the order numbers. Keep trying, you'll get him. I talked to him on a Monday and a Saturday.
