How about a camo bannana hammock?? Wait, I got sidetracked....I would love to see the finished stock and step by step so I can copy all of your hard work, making it easier on myself.

LOL.

That's my intention with this thread; to kick off my progress tracking as the stock evolves. I just thought I'd be a little humorous in doing so.

Tony.

Thanks from m14forme

That's a bit telling about what you're working with isn't it?

tonyben, this should be a fun project to watch. I thought I read about some solvent that made removal easier, I can't think of it off hand, but it was some pretty ugly stuff. I wonder if bead or sand blasting would help any?

Are you talking about Klean Strip? I was thinking about using that to clear off a GI synthetic to repaint it..

well, it's just standard GI wood, but the length of pull can sometimes cause premature discharge. if it bump fires on me again i might try shooting lighter loads.

alright, im done being an a$$. tonyben, i am looking forward to the progression of your project.
