Hardware? Convert USGI synthetic to folding?

I'd like to get some recomendations on hardware to convert an USGI synthetic stock into a folding stock with a AR-15 type pistolgrip.
I'd really like to use a hinge with a lock similar to the FAL Para.
Any ideas?

The thing I would be concerned with would be cheek weld and with such a recoil it might not be so comfortable! Why don't you look into the Vltor line of stocks and do the telescoping stock. It also has an adjustment to raise the stock tube for scope acquisition. It's made of Fiberglass and has accessories as well.

Good luck and be sure to post pictures whe all setup!F

Thanks from mabritt

The Ace folding mechanisim is pretty well made and they offer them to accomodate many different stock types including the AR buffer tubes. Your just going to have to figure out a way to modify one of them to attach to the cut off back of your M1A stock.

I almost forgot, since the AR pistol grips are designed to fit into the trigger guard of the AR receiver, and so a are open at the front , you might have an easier time if you were to use an AK type pistol grip that just bolts to the bottom of the stock.
