el cadiz.....
This doesn't answer your question but, as an option, try it yourself. It's surprisingly easy and very satisfying not to mention inexpensive.
I used two colors or Krylon Camo spray paint and some netting I got from Sportsmans Guide. Used light green and dark green only.
Cleaned up the GI synthetic stock good with a clean rag and paint thinner: Then painted four bands of alternating colors (light and dark green). Finally, after drying, and with the netting serving as a masking material painted again, this time using dark green on the previously painted light green band, then light green, over the netting, on the dark green band.
Ends up looking like a snake skin. I'm very pleased with it and will post pics if I figure out how to do that.
I should add that the second coats (over the net masking) should be fairly light "puffs" and perpendicular to the surface of the stock or the paint will find it's way under the net and the desired effect from the net will be lost.
Offered just in case you might decide to give it a try. Good Luck!
BTW...I've got a stock that was Duracoated by Duracoat of Arizona (I think) in Desert Camo. Nice job but according to their web site the cost for this is $260.
