I'd like to put in anchor point for a future rail on the stock I'm building.

The mounting holes in universal rails are every second groove.

I need to know the pitch of the groves in a rail. I'm thinking they are 3/8" apart, 2 per 3/4", 4 per 1 1/2"....

Anybody got a rail and a ruler?

This is the most recent (1999?) spec for the M1913A picatinny rail.

The .394 is what I was looking for. Just a scosh over the 3/4" of the sling swivel rivets. I can go ahead and make it all fit. I'll make an internal steel strip with several hole, bed it inside the fore end, only drill about 3 though. That will give me two sling positions.
