Long Term Storage

Okay.......this is my first post here and I am gonna need some helpful tid bits/ information in storing and or keeping a wooden rifle stock in storage till I decide to take her out for the next build. Time wise in storage maybe from 3 to 5 years or more?

I have picked up a few M14 stocks and others and want to make sure my money invested in those stocks will be handed down to M1A96819 Jr. (Son) in due time.

What is the best way/method to keep your wooden stock(Stock Only/No Barrel Action) in great condition for long term storage?

Leave t guard open to keep from compressing the wood on the one you are using. Linseed oil every 3-6 months and keep them dry.
