Just remember you will need all the metal parts for the stocks.
I recommend www.treelinem14.com for the metal parts.

I recommend buying an M14 stock from CMP for $35.00 while they're still available. I received two of them (1 walnut and 1 birch) and am quite happy. They were refinished by Rock Island Arsenal and came with new metal. Heck of deal.

CMP stands for Civilian Marksmanship Program.
Here is the link to the Estore.

http://estore.odcmp.com

They are listed in the Parts Surplus section. Item # PS113

Hey, I just read the description on that and it says that most of those stocks have bedding material. Now, I don't know if that means that you can request one without bedding or not, but if you can't, its not really much good to anyone that wants to sit their build into it.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, I have never dealt with bedding, but I thought I understood that the reason to do it is to mate a specific stock with a specific barrel/receiver build.

Has anyone used these and noted any trouble or concern with fit? Serious question here, I am this stupid.
