Proof of the puidding is in the paper

1 1/4 five shot group, center to center. 100 yd, bench.

From the bench, NM hooded rear, thin NM front. Mark I Mod 0 58 year old 'optics'. SAK bbl, Fed Ord receiver, all GI. My own Myrtle stock, with the modified steel liner. And my own design 32 position gas cylinder lock, of course.

Though I must admit it was the best of five groups. All others had one flyer from 2-5 inches away from center of group.

I'm thinking next range trip I'll put clover leaf lapping compound between ferrule and front band. See if that hones in the two parts? Made the extreme flyers are due to an off center sticky spot? I did Lubriplate there.

But basically I'm a happy camper today. :)

eta And a PS: I sure do like the feel of that oversize stock. Feels like a real gun now, not an undersized toy. :^)
