One of my favorite M1s

I built up this Navy Mk 2 Mod 1 barreled receiver earlier this year:

It went together well with parts I had on hand, and I was fortunate in finding the birch stockset on eBay for a nice price.

The rifle is an absolute delight to shoot - smooth and accurate. It is my 16 year old daughter's favorite rifle:

That was from her first time behind the rifle. Here's how she did:

That girl can shoot. :)

Great pictures guys. Here's mine from 2009. Some have come and gone, but most of the group remains.

Nice Garands gentlemen. M1, you really have a fine group there. I see you have a M1D. I just received this one from the CMP Tuesday. Receiver dates to May '42, barrel is dated 10-52, all major parts are SA. Still need a scope and mount when I recover from buying the rifle...

My HRA M1 that the barrel date matches the serial # range. All marked parts are HRA. Very good wood. The other rifle is an Enfield No.4 Mk1 in .303.

Love my M1's just does not come close to how much I enjoy these rifles.. Here are a couple of my favs.. Not shown, an HRA-SGS & 6 digit SA LEAD. I'm trying to make an effort at taking better pics.. :)

My M1D, an SA 2.8 with a S-A-1-52 barrel (drawing # up top) is a dream come true and made my Christmas this year!!
