I finally got around to shooting my second M1 Garand today, and it had an annoying problem. It would eject the clip, along with the last remaining live round, after the 7th shot. It did this with every clip I fired today, 6 in total. Twice of the 6 times, it attempted to eject the clip after the 6th shot, causing the 7th live round to "stovepipe".

Do you have any suggestions as to the cause or remedy for this?

Check your bullet guide and make sure its not bent.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

Clip latch spring. It should measure 5/8" long. I've seen a lot that were well under that.

I had the same problem with my CMP Garand when it arrived.

I replaced the clip latch and clip latch spring and that didn't fix the problem.

I then replaced the op rod spring and now it functions flawlessly.

It'll run you about $20 to replace all three parts.
