Thoughts, experiences ?

The one I've got with a production number just over 100,000 still has GI parts- op rod, bolt, barrel....

Going from memory, the trigger housing on a late Universal carbine requires a rectangular cutout in the stock, so it won't fit in a USGI stock without some serious cutting/filing.

Its a no go for USGI stock. The universal trigger housing being made of aluminum is thicker. You would need to inlet the trigger housing. It would be more trouble than its worth. You would also need to modify an M2 stock because of the double recoil springs.
