But I like it anyway!!!!! Had an old Blue Sky import Garand in 308 that I wanted to do something different with. It is a pretty good shooter. I have kinda eyed the laminated stocks and thought they looked pretty cool. When I saw the gray laminated stock I felt as if it would go good with the parkerized colors of the Garand. It is from DuPage and required no fitting what so ever with the exception of taking a little off the left hand side of the handguard for a little clearance off the stock. Passed the tilt test, and has really nice lock up. Not my usual staged photo back drop, just some quick ones in the garage. But here it is.

Looks really good , I have the same color laminate on my M1A.
They're stable in all weather, humidity doesn't change the POI

What are you gonna do when you know it's a sin but you like it anyway? Gorgeous rifle.

I like the laminated stock, never seen one on an M1, nice.

I have one on my Ruger Gunsite and want one for my M1A.

Now if I could just talk Ray out his beautiful stock..................

Laminate Stock

I did the Same thing with my 1st M1, was a Blue Sky back in the Mid 80's.
Had Orion 7 Match it out but used a Stainless Barrel, had a little more contrast
The barrel that was on it was more a Shotgun than a Rifle.
Have that one plus, the Nutmeg from Fajen for my .308 M1.
Either way Stainless or Chrome Moly looks good !!

Out

That looks terrible!
But if you like it, that's all that matters.
