Yea my 300BO Mini 14 Tactical is almost converted too. All it needs is Cerekote.

I am going to get a Mini 14 5.56 but the 183 series and I will be done with Mini's.

Hard choice , but the great thing about guns unlike women is you can have both .I tried the whole women as a hobby thing when I was young good lookin blonde good lookin brunette good lookin redhead I learned no you can't have em all so I took up guns as a hobby and learned that I if am patient I can have all of the ones I want and regardless of what the left says a gun is not as dangerous as a mad female and guns will not take your house boat car pets ect .yea that's right she took it all and it was legal ,I tried to speak up but that judge told me to sit down shut up and take what was coming to me I wanted to tell him what I thought but you know him being a judge and all and it being his court room I decided to just let it go ahem sorry I kinda got lost in my own world yea you should get both I would if I had more room in my tent yea she " let " me have the tent I sad "let " it was my tent the judge he just looked at me over his glasses so I just decided to let it go .yea get both son get em while you are young and free grab on with both hands and hang on as tight as you can and when people laugh because you are a gun person just smile and think that's ok I ain't livin in a freekin tent .

Gonna go have a look over the carbine at lunch time and most likely buy it. Of course a beater and cheap mini popped up too so I may end up coming out of pocket for it as well. We shall see. If I get either I will be sure to post the pics!

Decided on the carbine first. Picked it up and am pleased with. Mostly ibm parts, 9-43 barrel. Will get pics when I get home. For the final price I'm happy with it. Not sure about the ultimak though. It doesn't hurt anything, gives me an excuse to buy the vortex venom I've been wanting to try.

Nice choice. If you need extra mags check this outfit out. Quality work and function at an affordable price. A friend of mine who has a M1 carbine was having all kinds of feed issues with aftermarket mags and these cured his problems. http://www.keepshooting.com/mil-spec...-magazine.html

Well here she is complete with backwards front sight. It's actually almost all IBM. I'm happy at least.
