Spent Brass Pics

Here are a few 'stills' from a little cell phone video I shot the other day. I thought they were kind of neat. They are all the same piece of brass.

The rifle is a CMP Special Grade in .30-06, with a March 1944 receiver.

Happy New Year everybody.

Thanks.

Nah. That's an optical effect from the position of the phone. I was shooting straight down range.

Its the rifle in my icon photo. Plus.....these aren't too good.....but here goes.

As an edit: The third and fourth pics are oriented correctly on my hard drive. I don't know why they uploaded rotated 90 degrees to the left.

Notice that while the brass is still high in the air the op rod is already forward and the bolt ready to fire the next round.

Fast action.

Please tell me somebody else was taking the pictures. Beautiful rifle; it looks almost brand new.

The CMP Specials are completely rebuilt using reparked parts with new Criterion barrel and new wood.
They are wonderfully done. Make great shooters.
