So I put an Eotech 512 on my M1 carbine (Ultimak Mount). I think I would like a bit more height on the cheek to stock weld. Maybe a cheek pad would help? Any one use one on the M1 Carbine? Any recommendations? I'd like something that secures well. I've never used on on any rifle and don't know where to even start looking...
If it needs a pretty good lift, LaRue Tactical sells a black one that is intended for those basic stocks (A2?) that come on the plain-jane ARs. It gives your cheek a good inch or so of lift off the top of the stock. It's one of the few things they sell that is not priced out of sight, I think maybe $29.
I have several others from other companies that are nicer in the sense of having bullet loops and little zipper pouches, etc, but they all cost at least twice as much.
Please post a picture when you are finished. I've never seen a HS mounted on a Carbine.
