M1 Garand had a few hiccups

I picked up my first M1 Garand Winchester receiver with the remaining parts stamped Springfield Armory. The gun looks like its new, obviously been refurbished by someone. I took it to the range today for some exercise. shoots great. i had 2 clips that went flying through the air with several rounds of live ammo still in them. does this sound like its a failure on the clip itself or do i have an issue in my rifle?

Clip latch spring, which is an easy fix. This can be tested by removing the spring, stretching it a bit, then reinstalling it and test firing the rifle to see if that fixes the problem.

thanks

that spring list's $1.95 for the standard and 4.95 for the heavy duty from Fulton Armory. I wish the parts for all my other toy's were so inexpensive. thanks for the reply
