Not that I'm aware of. I was trying to get a machinist to make up a prototype for me based on an original mount, but he lost interest in the project after a while.. Sucks, I am convinced that there would be a decent market for those scope mounts..

that is the base, and those by sarco are cast junk with unusable bores.

the mount is the 7/8" mount.

what the op is looking for is the ring/mount combo for one inch tubes.

they replaced the 7/8 rings/mount during nam.

i have one with the original 4x scope by weaver mounted on my nam m1d.

have not seen any knockoffs on the market/

The threads in the repro M1D barrel mounts are so soft, they will not hold up long. We drill them out and install a hardened threaded sleeve and then weld that in place. However, that is as expensive if not more expensive than buying a good original mount.

I don't know of anyone who makes a repro set of rings in 1 inch.

What you may not realize is that both the M1C and M1D were difficult to get them to hold a good group, even when using all G.I. parts and even when Springfield Arsenal built them. That's why the M1903A4 stayed around a lot longer than originally planned.

Yeah, I kinda gave up on the dream of owning a proper 1" scope with my M1D. :/

That is to say, I bought my M1D from the CMP, built in Utah Tooele depot in 1969 (electric-penned on the right side of the receiver leg), so it qualifies for the 1" Weaver K4 scope to be "proper authentic".

Instead, I bought a surplus USGI M84 telescope and mount from a chap in Greece (for a four-digit price-tag), and considered that to be "good enough".
