Thanks for all of your support and advice. I am leaving tomorrow for a month-long training session in Georgia, so hopefully it will be well on it's way by the time I get home.
Thanks again!

I sent them more info than they requested, so I am not too concerned that I didn't cover my bases, but the wait is gonna kill me!

A little update......
Got an e-mail saying that my order has been received and verified. Now the order is moving on to the sales dept. then on to the shipping dept.
I am away at training for another two weeks so I am not in a rush. Looking forward to getting it though!!
Another thing, I went to a local gunshow down here near my training facility and picked up some real clean en bloc clips. Paid $2.00 ea. That's a pretty good price, right?

Not bad these days, if they're USGI. Used to be .50 per, then $1 per...
I bought a bunch of HXP on greek clips to I have a large supply of them. Luckily they haven't caused any trouble in my rifles as of yet.
keep us updated! :)

That's a pretty good price, right? | JD that's a horrible price for Garand clips but I'm probably living in the past when it comes to the price of Garand clips. Back in the 80s when I worked SWAT I was given a bunch of new in the wrap Grease Gun mags for my select fire Ingram MAC-10 by one of my cop pals in the Guard. He also gave me 200 Garand clips for free and to be honest I've never bought a Garand clip in my life. The last prices that I remember seeing was .50 cents each then $1.00 each. But considering what inflation has done to the value of our currency, $2.00 may be a fair price these days.
I just wish that I had all of the Garand clips that we swept off of the fan tail of our ship into the south China Sea off the coast of the Nam after rifle practice. I would have at the very least, four or five very large wheel barrows full of the things, which would make me pretty darned rich at $2.00 a pop.
Good luck with your new Garand and I hope it turns out to be as nice as mine that I got from the old DCM back in the early 90s.

Thanks for the replies, guys.
7th,
If you have any extra USGI clips around that you will part with please keep me in mind. I am not very well-connected with M1 supplies as I am with other weapons so I appreciate any help that I can scrape up. Update
They charged my credit card. That means shipping is close, right????

7th | we had 55 gallon drums of them from firing a full clip with each 308 conversion for the navy. They went to the scrap yard.
While i was in the guard, scrapped thousands of them.
Ranges at otis afb had 55 gal drums of them rusting, filled with water.
Took home probably a couple thousand, gave many away to friends.
Got a bunch from a drmo auction, about two thousand.
Never going to get rid of any ever again!

Got my shipment e-mail. Should be here in NJ by 1030 tomorrow. Gonna be a sleepless night!!
Holy crap it's here!!
So far it looks like it has an HRA barrel, rear sight, bolt, and receiver (obviously). It needs some serious cleaning as I was told to expect and have no problem with at all.
Serial number is 5,493,6xx
Muzzle reading shows as a 1+
Throat reading shows as a 2+
Rifle Grade is labeled as 6-3 (or maybe G-3, hard to read)
El Bloc included is an AGE (Aggressive Engineering, Anaheim, CA)
Any suggestions on what I should do first??
Thanks all :D

I just came across this thread but thought I'd put in my 0.02. I had always wanted a garand and deceided to buy one as the first rifle I bought. Long story short I opted to go for a new production SA inc. After firing the first round of the 2nd clip through the rifle the op rod came out of the track. I spent 45 min trying to get the other 7 rounds out of the rifle. I sent it back to SA, took them 3 months to send it back and I put it up for sale the day I got it back. Haven't considered another SA Inc product since then.

Back then it was one of the only ways to get a M1. It's also one of my most accurate M1's. Was this one of the later production runs?
