Tasty BAR for sale

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=256990205

Question: since this is apparently a newly-mfg receiver... it wouldn't be transferable to the "normal" people who can legally buy pre-1986 stuff, right?

Thanks from The Cat

I may be mis-understanding your question, but 'Group Industries' was one of the major players back just before the May, 1986 NFA Ban went into effect. They did a lot of UZI's as I recall.
I don't see any reference to 'newly-manufactured'...
Yes, They Did 'Manufacture' The Receiver, and no doubt used all kinds of BAR Parts In It...But Not Recently.
My belief would be that it was fully 'Papered' Before the '86 Ban and is being sold now as a Class III Full-Auto for $25,000 PLUS(Starting Bid with Reserve!)
So, If Your State Allows, AND You Have $25K +...You Can Buy It!

Yeah, sweet. That was another one of my screw ups. I had picked up an unissued BAR kit back in the early 80's for some absurd price, $275 sticks in my mind. It was a beautiful Winchester pars kit. Absolutely mint. I hung onto it for several years waiting for someone to start making a functional semi auto receiver.

One of my buddies pestered my unmercifully for years to sell it to him. I finally gave in when he offered me a sweet enough deal. Don't remember what I got for it but soon afterward (4-5 years) someone finally started making that semiauto receiver. Sigh.
