No shotgun pic thread?
We should have one! Maybe one of the MODs can "sticky" this (hint, hint).
Post em up guys!
With that, I give you "Stumpy." Just your average 870 Wingmaster registered as an SBS and has had the barrel cut down and the whole thing refinished (pre-Duracoat days). Built it to dispatch rattle snakes and other undesirables at close range. The CPS is for "Child Protective Services." Stumpy has been in this configuration for many years. About a year ago I got to shoot an 870 SBS with the factory rifle-sighted 14-inch barrel and loved it. At this point in time, I'm looking for that same barrel, have refinished the original wood and will have the whole thing parkerized (manganese phosphate) when I find said barrel. |

The other 870s as of this date.
Top is the 870 exPolice gun 3-inch mag with 18-inch barrel and Wilson extension.
Middle is an ole Wingmaster with 20-inch CYL barrel and Remington +3 (got this one to use for the barrel to build my USN/USAF 870 clone).
Bottom is the Dreadnought; 3.5-inch Super Mag with 19-inch barrel. |

TB:
This is a 20" Mossberg. Mods that can't be seen include a metal safety button, Choat followers with an 870 mag spring, Mag-na-Porting, which was completed after these photos. I also picked up a tritium phosphor front sight (thru Brownells, only $32) that was installed after these photos. IMG_2101.jpg IMG_2103.jpg IMG_2109.jpg |

Here's "Ol' Painless",
A Mossberg M-590A1 that leans against my bedstand every night. A Hogue forearm, ATI stock, M1 web sling, and 8 rounds of Winchester GI OO buck are the only upgrades. I'll get a light on there sooner or later.

| Ithica Model 37's
Here are my Model 37 one is a 20 ga the other two 12 the ancient thing on the bottom is an old Sterling crack barrel. I dont know much about that one I got it from a friend who was cleaning house. Its got to be pretty old maybe someone has info on it. The 37 were made in !943-44-46. Love them 37's I would like to add one of those trench shotguns to the mix!! The 12 ga 37 was the first rifle my father gave me when I was 12 years old that was 34 years ago. Quite a few thousand rounds down that barrel and many busted up clays. |
