Talking Keltec KSG is finally here!

Well, I have had my eye on this shotgun since I saw the first add for it. It has been a looooong wait since I originally decided to get one and today it finally came in. It is super lightweight (bet it kicks like a mule), holds 12+1 3" magnum 12ga shells. It has a metal 1913 rail on top and a plastic one on the bottom (bout the only thing I don't like). I topped it off with a Burris Fastfire II and added a Magpul AFGII and a Noveske K9 barricade support. I haven't shot her yet, but plan to go to the range tomorrow and play with it. I plan to do a full review and push it to the limits of what she can do...and maybe a little further. Enjoy :)

Cool! I've really like to try one of those. Is that a Burris-made mount with the sight protectors? Details?

Yes, it's called the AR-F mount...it is made by Burris and gives it a little extra height, which worked perfectly for the KSG. It also contains several small tools for adjusting and maintaining the optic. Great mount.

Oh, I forgot to add that unloaded, with the Burris Fastfire II and mount, Magpul AFG and Noveske K9 Barricade support, it is only 7lbs 11oz. Not bad! And even fully loaded with 14 2-2/3" 1oz slugs, it only weighs 8lbs 14oz!

Obviously, for my namesake, I have been watching these.
I am looking forward to your "range" report.

My buddy has one of these and loves the compact bullpup design, however because the action is so close to the end of the shotgun there is little to absorb and help reduce recoil, so needless to say this think could ring your bell if your not using low recoil. I still want one though.

I think FPS Russia did a video with the UTS and it gave him nothing but problems. But who knows, they both look cool as hell and have the short bullpup design.

I didn't see anything for either for a side mount for a flashlight. Night time when when I go for the shotgun & my Mossberg 500 has a maglight under the barrel.

KSG you have to select which tube to use. I actually find that to be an advantage as one type ammo in one tube & different in the other.

$400 difference in MSRP makes a difference in deciding which to choose as Made in the USA does also.

SAP all you have to do now is get the polymer dip coated in Multicam or A-Tacs and you will have one heck of a gun-gasim that would make most green with envy...
