How did you pin the magazine tube permanently so your M4 can hold a maximum of 6 rounds since magazines that hold more are illegal in the socialist state of New Jersey?

You didn't like the pistol grip? I have a black one and a desert camo one. I think I'm about to make a grip that is as stock as possible, except with just enough rail for a vertical front grip/ squeeze activated light. But yours looks sweet. I may have to just buy that front grip, but I'm gonna experiment first and see if I can make a fiberglass one like I want. Been to the range with it yet? They shoot slugs at 100 yards really great.

You may want to review N.J.S.A. 2C:39-1w(3). The definitions of what defines an illegal assault weapon in N.J. can be found there. Some excerpts from 2C:39-1w re: semi-auto shotguns: "An assault firearm also means a semi-automatic shotgun with either a magazine capacity exceeding six rounds, a pistol grip, or a folding stock." "An assault firearm also means a part or combination of parts designed or intended to convert a firearm into an assault firearm, or any combination of parts from which an assault firearm may be readily assembled if those parts are in the possession or under the control of the same person."
Because you can easily remove the end cap of that magazine and simply remove the magazine plug, you can readily convert your shotgun to its illegal capacity counterpart. Maybe I'm wrong, but if it's easily converted....you've defined it.... it's in your possession and under your control....so I would seek a more permanent solution. Just saying.
Use this analogy: It's safe to convert 20 or 30 round magazines from AR and AK legal variants to 15 round capacity for N.J. by pinning or welding them to prevent alterations later. I would think the same holds true for your M4 setup.

that looks sweet. It actually looks like you could be a brother from another mother, as mine is almost identical. The only thing thats different on mine is My Charging handle is FF Titanium w/ an overall desert cammo finish. But otherwise, I have the same foregrip, Kip's tube and all!!
GG&G also makes a pretty nice sling loop you can put onto the stock, but it was kind of a bitch to do it. Love your boomstick buddy!!!!

And the ruling on capacity is clearly defined on removable magazines, vague in other areas. AND, he does say a dealer could put a permanent block in it for you. However, the "caveat emptor" statement he closed his opinion with (opinion, not a definitive finding) means "buyer beware." The point is, you are testing the waters. Do yourself a favor and save on attorney fees by blocking the mag tube properly. Just offering some friendly advice.
Remember, New Jersey is a state that defines a semi-automatic .22 with a tubular magazine holding more than 15 rounds as an assault weapon. Dealing with people who wrote and support that logic, do you really want to tug on their cape?
