So I know of all these clubs that were discussed in the other thread --- but are there any 100+ yard range clubs that offer open-to-public opportunity, rather than having to be accompanied by a member somewhere east of Denver-Metro, or south by south-east?

Yes.... Family shooting Center at Cherry Creek State Park is a public range that goes out to 100 yards. You have to shoot from benches. Every 30 minutes, they do a cease fire for target changes. Costs about $16 + another $9 for the Park Pass. They have Rifle, pistol, and trap shotgun ranges...

I know that one well. Pretty sure the ROs were tired of me trying to get that gorram ATN zeroed to no avail after a while...
I meant 100+ --- as in somewhere that has BEYOND 100 yards like the ones discussed in the recent thread out in Byers, etc... but open for a Joe Schmo like me to take a 1/2 day from work on a Thursday and come out to utilize for a fee, rather than having to have membership / find a member to take me out there.

Sorry, I don't know of any 200 yard or greater ranges that are public in the Denver area. All those sorts of ranges require membership.

The ranges I am thinking of within 100 miles of Denver are...

Colorado Rifle Club
Boulder Rifle Club
Buffalo Creek Gun Club
Aurora Gun Club
Golden Gun Club
Cheyenne Rifle and Pistol Club
Ben Lemmond Gun Club
Lead Valley

Long story short, if you want to have good access...it's gonna take a membership. The price varies from range to range some have a waiting list while others can get you in quickly. I am member at Aurora Gun Club and CRC, so if you ever want to check them out, shoot me a PM and perhaps we can plan something.

There is a range just North of Greeley call Great Guns Sporting. Nice setup for membership and also open to the public. http://greatgunssporting.com/

Thanks!
I was not aware of that one - but that is a 2hr drive for me. Almost the same distance as the one out by Deckers. I'll bookmark it though.

I TOTALLY forgot we had a PM conversation about this!
Man my memory is getting fried lately. I will definitely have to take you up on that offer some time soon, as soon as the weather stops being crappy anyway and I can find some time. I'll PM you soon... then next year I'll have to set some money aside from the tax return or bonus if I get one to become a member at one of these myself :)
